AI & Automation Opportunity Assessment

A structured assessment of how your business operates

You know your business and your customers. We bring an engineering perspective to the processes and systems behind the work.

01Start With the Business

The right solution begins with a clear understanding of the work

Over two days onsite, our team works alongside leadership and employees to document how work moves through the company and where technology could improve it. The result is a prioritized roadmap showing what could change and what each solution would require.

Technology has value when it supports the way a business operates. Before recommending software or automation, we examine how responsibilities and decisions move through the company. The objective is to solve the problem. We sell nothing we recommend.

02The Assessment Process

From operational research to a prioritized plan

Preparation before the visit, two days onsite, then a ranked roadmap.

  1. 01Before the visit

    Prepare

Before arriving onsite, we review the company's structure, current systems, and major areas of work. This allows us to identify the right employees to speak with and build a focused schedule for the assessment.

  2. 02Two days onsite

    Observe

Our engineers spend two days onsite with leadership and employees, observing current processes and mapping the company's major workflows.

  3. 03After the visit

    Evaluate

We examine where time and money are being lost and where more could be earned, then weigh each opportunity against what it would cost.

  4. 04The final report

    Prioritize

The final report ranks each opportunity and explains the problem, proposed solution, workflow impact, expected cost, and potential return.

03What We Examine

The assessment follows the work across the business

These six areas are where an assessment starts. Anything that costs time or money, or leaves revenue uncollected, is in scope.

  1. 01Operations

Intake, scheduling, handoffs, status checks, delays, and repeated work.

  2. 02Back Office and Finance

Invoicing, collections, payroll preparation, approvals, reconciliation, and recurring deadlines.

  3. 03Sales and Client Acquisition

Response times, quoting, lead management, follow-up, past-client outreach, and stalled opportunities.

  4. 04Software and Systems

Unused features, disconnected platforms, spreadsheet workarounds, overlapping subscriptions, and manual transfers of information.

  5. 05Reporting and Analytics

Month-end reporting, margin visibility, inaccessible information, and time spent collecting or cleaning data.

  6. 06Marketing and Online Presence

Search visibility, websites, inquiry forms, customer reviews, lead tracking, and the connection between marketing and sales.

04What You Receive

A plan detailed enough to evaluate and act on

Every recommendation is documented clearly enough for your internal team, existing technology provider, another developer, or nAblement to implement it.

For each recommended opportunity

AThe problem
Where the issue occurs, how often it happens, and what it currently costs the business.
BThe solution
The recommended change and what would be required to implement it.
CThe workflow impact
How the change would affect the employees doing the work and everyone downstream of them.
DThe expected return
The estimated value in time saved, costs reduced, errors avoided, revenue created, or turnaround time improved.

05Quick Improvements and Larger Opportunities

Not every improvement requires custom software

The first option we consider is whether the problem can be solved with the systems the business already owns. Some recommendations are a changed setting or a feature you already pay for. When a problem does require something new, the report explains what should be built and provides an implementation estimate. You can complete the work internally, hand it to another provider, or ask nAblement to build it.

06Engineering From the Beginning

The recommendations are informed by the people who can build them

The people assessing the business are engineers who build and operate software. They understand the capabilities, limitations, integration requirements, and ongoing responsibilities behind the solutions they recommend.

  1. Onsite

We work alongside the people completing the process, so the assessment includes the details that never appear in written procedures or leadership meetings.

  2. Independent

We take no commissions, referral fees, or reseller margins on the software we recommend, so cancelling something stays on the table.

  3. Buildable

Each proposed solution is evaluated by engineers who understand what it would take to design, integrate, deploy, and maintain it.

Clear before the assessment begins

The standard assessment includes two onsite days and the complete opportunity roadmap. The price and scope are confirmed in writing before work begins. If additional onsite time is required, it is discussed and approved in advance.

Discuss an assessment

Add an engineering perspective to your next operational decision. Whether you are looking at one process or across the business, the assessment gives you the research and the technical and financial judgment to choose the strongest path forward.
